Travel Protection
Travel protection (aka travel insurance) is a safety net that can protect you from significant financial losses due to unexpected events during your trip. Capital Travel and Events is not a seller of travel protection or insurance, but we partner with the top travel protection providers to create custom quotes that match your coverage needs and budget.
Review each quote and plan carefully for its benefits and limitations/exclusions.
Travel Medical Plans
These plans offer temporary emergency travel medical coverage for US Citizens and residents traveling to destinations outside the USA.
They typically include medical, emergency medical evacuation, repatriation, and security evacuation.
Rates are based on age and plan choices. Typically, COVID-19 expenses are covered and treated as any other sickness.
Annual Travel Protection Plans
Annual travel insurance is a comprehensive trip cancellation plan designed for frequent travelers who embark on multiple trips throughout the year.
Unlike single-trip policies, annual travel insurance provides continuous protection that enables you to travel as often as you like within a specified timeframe without having to buy a new policy each time. It covers a range of travel-related risks, including trip cancellations, medical emergencies, lost baggage, and other unforeseen events.
With the convenience of an annual policy, frequent travelers can enjoy the peace of mind that comes with consistent and reliable protection, ensuring you are covered no matter where your journeys take you.
Single Trip Protection Plans
Trip cancellation insurance helps protect you and the investment you made in your trip when you travel. It typically provides pre-departure benefits in case you must cancel your trip before you can take it and post-departure benefits such as travel delay, trip interruption, and emergency medical expenses to protect you while you are traveling.
Some plans cover pre-paid, nonrefundable financial penalties or losses you incur when you cancel a prepaid tour or flight for a covered reason. Some plans also offer optional Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) and Interruption for Any Reason (IFAR).
It's best to buy your insurance when making the first payment on your trip; however, you can purchase a trip cancellation plan until the day before you leave. For plans that offer Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR), you must purchase the optional benefit within the specified time frame from the initial deposit/final payment date and insure all prepaid, non-refundable trip costs.
